This Payment Policy outlines the terms and conditions relating to payments made to Horizon Cash & Carry Ltd we when purchasing products online, in-store, or over the phone.
By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms described below.
1. Accepted Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods:
In-Store Payments
- Cash
- Debit & credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro)
- Contactless payments
- Bank transfers (for approved customers only)
Phone Orders / Click & Collect
- Card payment over the phone
- Bank transfer (with prior confirmation)
Delivery Orders - Payment must be made in full before delivery is dispatched.
- We do not accept cash-on-delivery unless agreed in advance with management.
2. Trade Customer Accounts
All customers must be registered trade customers to shop with us.
During registration, customers must provide:
- Business details
- Valid identification
- Contact information
Once approved, you may receive a customer card for in-store use.
3. Payment Terms
- Full payment is required at the time of purchase.
- Orders will not be processed or delivered until payment is completed and confirmed.
- Any unpaid or overdue amounts may result in temporary suspension of customer privileges.
We do not offer credit accounts unless a written agreement is issued by management.
4. Pricing & Charges
- All prices listed are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
- VAT will be added where applicable under UK law.
- Prices may change without notice due to supplier adjustments or market conditions.
- We aim to keep all prices up to date and accurate; however, errors may occasionally occur.
5. Order Cancellations
Before Payment
Orders can be cancelled any time before payment is made.
After Payment
If you need to cancel an order after payment:
- Contact us immediately.
- Refunds will be considered based on the order status.
- Once goods have been dispatched or collected, cancellation is no longer possible.
6. Refunds & Returns
Refunds will only be issued in accordance with our
Returns & Refund Policy.
In general:
- Opened, damaged, or temperature-sensitive items (frozen/chilled) cannot be refunded.
- Refunds, if approved, will be issued using the original payment method.
7. Failed or Declined Payments
If a payment fails or is declined:
- The order will not be processed.
- You may be required to use an alternative payment method.
- Repeated declined payments may lead to temporary account restrictions.
8. Fraud Prevention
We reserve the right to:
- Verify payment details
- Request proof of identity
- Cancel suspicious or fraudulent orders
- Block accounts involved in fraudulent activity
This is to protect both our business and our customers.
